前期は色の原理、レンジ、コントラスト、影ハーモニーなどのサンプルを使って色がどのように作用していくか学習します。
後期は多色のひだと人間の肌や顔をテンペラと水彩絵の具で描くことを学べます。
さらにギルディング（金箔の仕上げ）のテクニックを増やして、細密画用の背景と枠をまなびます。
ソルボヌ大学デゥセ公文書館保管の1673年の秘伝画法書を利用し、
細密画の作製に対する自信を強める６ヶ月コースです。

This course will lead the student to a better understanding
of color theory, the use of color ranges, contrasts, shadows and the
application of color harmony. It further explores the techniques of
multicolored folds, painting of skins and faces using tempera
gouache combined with water colors. Additional methods of gilding are introduced for
texts, solid backgrounds and frames.
The study of a French secret manual of painting techniques dating back to 1673,
kept at the Doucet Library of the University of Sorbone, will enable students to approach
the world of miniature painting with confidence.
